His daughter Kirsty (Gaelic - Ciorstaigh) married a MacDonald and they had three sons and two daughters who were still crofting Knockvologan when my mother was a child. Two of the brothers, Colin and Parlane, worked on the Dubh Artach lighthouse when not crofting, and the other, John, ran the Iona ferry.
